Job Purpose

• Deliver, contribute and support EBI strategy

• Ensuring the development, implementation and the maintenance of an effective and efficient Country EBI program aligned with the Corporate EBI program within Sanofi Group.

• Lead, support and contribute to Corporate and Greater China EBI initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

• Implement the EBI Program elements and framework as designed and defined by Global EBI.

• Propose and initiate all actions to develop and foster a culture of ethical and compliant business practices.

• Develop or ensure that written policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance in all aspects of the Company’s activities and relevant to country requirements.

• Provide strategic and effective tactical support on EBI related matters, risk management to the Business in a proactive way, partnering with the business to ensure EBI fundamental principles are understood, accepted and implemented being a key success factor for this role. 

• Report on a regular basis and as directed or requested to the Regional Compliance Officers, to the Country General Manager and Management Committee regarding the status and effectiveness of the EBI Program, compliance obligations or compliance related issues, investigation and resolution of such issues and corrective actions.

• Conduct EBI Risk Assessment and report and escalate swiftly any unreported or unresolved compliance risk as well as any unplanned deviation.

• Implement a robust third-party management program

• Implement standard EBI related Trainings as per the training matrix and plan defined by Corporate while supplementing it with any additional and specific Trainings deemed necessary and appropriate for country operations.

• In cooperation with and following direction from Global or Regional Compliance, investigate or collaborate with other departments to direct investigation of any identified or potential compliance issues, including implementation of corrective action and discipline, as appropriate.

• Oversee and monitor implementation and effectiveness of the EBI Program; and initiate all appropriate actions to communicate to all employees, directly and in coordination with other departments, the importance of compliance and ethical business practices.

• Implement EBI related processes as requested or directed by Global EBI as part of anti-corruption and anti-bribery adequate procedures as for instance but not limited to compliance based retention and management of third parties (due diligence etc)

• Actively shaping the industry and representing Sanofi Taiwan & Hong Kong in relevant associations.

• Closely monitor healthcare eco-system, laws and regulations and enforement to advice management timely.

• Coordinate holding local compliance committee meetings and document minutes.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Perform “Monitoring and Auditing” as per global/ regional guidelines.

About you

Education

• Appropriate Degree in any discipline; MBA is preferable.

• CPA qualification is a plus.

Experience & Knowledge

• 10-15 years prof. experience in areas of business operation of Rx healthcare or in compliance, legal, finance or regulatory functions in healthcare industry.

• Fluency in both Mandarin and English.

• Last experience in EBI / Compliance function and MNC experience are preferred.

• Knowledge of control and risk systems, experience in Training and Communication is a must.

• Successful at establishing and maintaining of highly effective relationships with team.

• Excellent knowledge and understating of IFPMA guidelines, and anti-fair trade laws etc.
