We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Formulation Scientist to join our dynamic Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in formulation science and a proven track record of developing consumer-centric products, particularly in the consumer health care, over-the-counter (OTC), and topical skin care sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer insights to drive the creation of products that meet and exceed customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Formulation Development: Lead the development of new formulations and improve existing ones, through bench work leveraging DOE (Design Of Experiment) Principles, while ensuring they meet regulatory standards and company quality guidelines.

• Consumer Health Care, OTC, and Topical Skin Care Development: Focus on the development of consumer health care, OTC, and topical skin care products, leveraging scientific expertise to create safe and effective solutions. Familiarity with the relevant OTC monograph is a must.

• Consumer Insights Integration: Collaborate with the Consumer Insights team to understand market trends, consumer preferences, and feedback. Use this data to guide formulation strategies and product development.

• Project Management: Manage multiple formulation development projects simultaneously, from concept-working with marketing-to pilot plant-working with Process team-to ensure timelines and budgets are met.

• Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements and industry trends to incorporate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into product formulations.

• Testing and Analysis: Design and conduct experiments to test the stability, efficacy, and safety of formulations. Analyze data and prepare detailed reports.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulations comply with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare and review documentation for regulatory submissions.

• Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, including senior management and marketing.

About You

• Phd in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or other Healthcare Science required; or B.S. with minimum 5 years of experience; or M.S. – minimum 3 years experience,

• Relevant experience in formulation development, preferably in the consumer goods, consumer health care, pharmaceutical, or topical skin care industry.

• Strong understanding of consumer insights and their application in product development.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects and work within cross-functional teams.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness to work on a diverse team and foster an inclusive team environment.

• This position may require some overnight business travel up to 15%.
