About the job

As the Global Buyer – Lab Supplies and Services you will be responsible for the category of Lab Supplies and Services supporting our R&D Teams. As a global buyer you will join a team organized to implement sourcing processes in accordance with our global category management strategies, partner with internal business teams to support their objectives, assist with building project scopes, consolidate all business needs and specifications, conduct Global Request for Proposals (RFPs), negotiate contracts renewals, rate cards / discount schedules, and manage overall relationships with key suppliers. The scope of this position is global and for all entities of Sanofi Group.

Main responsibilities:

Operations management:

• Ensure the implementation and operational follow-up of action plans derived from the strategies defined by the Category Management and/or Procurement Business Partners, in close collaboration with the procurement network and stakeholders

• Provide support to the Global Lead Buyer of the category to ensure the execution of the strategy and sourcing execution

• Deliver savings pipeline in line with targets, lead global RFIs/RFPs and contract negotiations for your domain/category and reporting on status, savings, performance, and risks on the sourcing activities within your scope

• Stay informed on current industry trends and new market developments related to your category area while undertake benchmarking against other industries and best practices

• Run robust Supplier Management with business reviews & performance management, ensure mastery of Procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality, etc.) and working closely with procurement services to leverage as much as possible the middle and back-offices services

Stakeholder management:

• Develop strong partnership with your key internal customers, and foster two-way supportive relationships with them, ensure an excellent buying experience for Sanofi's scientists (internal end users) while presenting Procurement strategies to key internal customers for review and input

About you

Experience:

• 3+ years' experience in Procurement, Laboratory Management or related fields

• Technical knowledge of the category/domain, good understanding of finance and legal processes

Soft skills:

• Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attentive to detail

• Flexible, receptive, resourceful, creative, and results-oriented

• Facility with transversal assignments requiring careful project management

• Very good communication and negotiation skills

• Able to quickly assimilate new information/skills and readily adapt to new environment, processes, ways of working

• Team player with excellent interpersonal sensitivity (social intelligence)

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from accredited University (Master's Degree is preferred)

Languages:

• Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must.

• Any second European Language such as French or German (at proficient level) is a plus
