Main responsibilities

• Define and execute medical strategy for neurology products across Japan, ensuring alignment with global standards and local market needs

• Lead and mentor the medical affairs team, including medical advisors and medical science liaisons, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and regulatory authorities to advance scientific exchange

• Provide strategic scientific input into clinical development programs, market access strategies, and commercial planning

• Oversee medical education initiatives, publication strategies, and advisory board activities

• Ensure full compliance with Japanese regulations and ethical standards in all medical activities

• Serve as the internal scientific expert for the neurology therapeutic area, guiding cross-functional teams

About you

• Experience: Extensive background in medical affairs, clinical development, or academic neurology with proven team leadership success

• Medical expertise: MD with neurology specialization preferred, or PhD in neuroscience or related field

• Regulatory knowledge: Deep understanding of PMDA requirements and the Japanese healthcare system

• Leadership skills: Strategic thinker with strong ability to influence and mentor teams in complex matrix organizations

• Communication: Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities, with experience working with key opinion leaders

• Languages: Native or fluent Japanese; business-level English for global collaboration
