Our Team:

Sanofi Business Operations (BO) is an internal Sanofi resource organization setup to centralize processes and activities to support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CMO, and R&D, Data & Digital functions. BO strives to be a strategic and functional partner for tactical deliveries to Medical, HEVA, and Commercial organizations in Sanofi, Globally.

Main responsibilities:

The overall purpose and main responsibilities are listed below:

To own the processes aligned with the scientific communication operations. To create synergies and provide functional and operational direction across therapeutic area(s) (TA[s]) and GBUs with key areas of focus being the team leadership, process improvements, system enhancements, change management, training and delivery, with an emphasis on technology and innovation. Act as a strategic thought partner to the Scientific communication leads. Lead a team of associate project managers and project specialists ensuring an efficient operational delivery with excellence. Ensure compliance to the standard procedures (SOPs) and operate with impact-driven metrics. Develop and maintain expertise in medical communications processes and on key trends/developments in the industry; and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

·People: (1) Lead team of associate project managers and project specialists or similar roles (2) Coach and develop the team members (on content/methods/processes), monitor the progress of work and provide solutions to issues or queries; (3) Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders (medical scientific community); (4) Identify areas for innovation and leverage new technologies; (5) Act as key contact and thought partner for activities assigned; (6) Effective work allocation to the team; (7) Share best practices and serve as a change agent and facilitator for operational excellence; and (8) Support team initiatives and objectives, identify and recommend process improvements and other value-added initiatives

  • Performance: (1) Act as strategic thought partner across TA/GBUs; (2) Develop and maintain expertise in medical communication processes and on key trends/developments in the industry; (3) Provide inputs and ensure delivery as per plan (agreed timelines and quality); (4) Lead and support development of tools, technology, and processes in order to constantly improve quality and productivity; (5) Support team in effective management of multiple projects in parallel with close monitoring; (6) Driving performance management activities including standardization, optimization, quality, timeliness, impact assessment, platform technologies, and analytics solutions; (7) Implement Lean management principles to build operational excellence.

  • Process: (1) Support delivery of projects in terms of resourcing, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and high technical standards for deliveries; (2) Contribute to overall quality enhancement of the medical communication deliverables and leverage new technologies to build operational excellence; (3) Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards; (4) Set up system and processes to follow detailed guidelines, including validation of metadata; (5) Good understanding of approval/compliance tools (e.g., PromoMats) and publication management tools (e.g., iEnvision - previously, Datavision/Matrix); (6) Leverage advanced training delivery tools and techniques thereby enhancing the effectiveness of training delivery; and (7) Drive project governance meetings with various stakeholders, and cross functional team.

·Stakeholder: (1) Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders with an end objective to meet the agreed deliverables; (2) Help global stakeholders for process improvements, risk mitigation plans, and new initiatives; (3) Drive effective collaboration with stakeholders to understand their requirements and to propose solutions in-line with their expectations; (4) Establish regular governance with stakeholders, seek feedback from time to time and take appropriate actions are taken to ensure stakeholder satisfaction

About you

·Experience: 9+ years of experience in operations and project management for the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry; >5 years of experience in leadership role; and ability to influence and negotiate

·Soft skills: Stakeholder management; communication skills; people management; and ability to work independently and within a team environment

·Technical skills: Project management; Scientific/Medical writing/communications; Pharma experience (including but not limited to therapeutic area/domain knowledge exposure; and/or publication submission). Hands on experience with Veeva Vault, iEnvision or similar technology platforms. Advanced skills in application software. Hands-on experience with AI and automation tools (e.g., Power Platform, GenAI) to enhance and streamline business processes and workflows.

·Education: Advanced degree in life sciences/pharmacy/similar discipline or medical degree with project management experience (PMP or DASM certification preferred)

·Languages: Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
