Head of Warehouse & Logistics

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Site Head of Supply Chain ensures to the site internal clients and Third Parties the availability of Raw Materials, Consumables, Packaging Supplies, and Logistic Services required for their activity, at the lowest cost of implementation in the short, in conformity with the defined quality, technical and logistical specifications, within deadlines and planning, adherent to Quality & HSE policies, local procedures, ethical rules and values.
JOB RESPONSABILITIES
· Comply with the standards (external or internal) regarding labor legislation, quality protocols, respect for the environment and safety at work.
· Actively participate in talent management initiatives promoted by the company.
· Apply the protocols established by HSE for the development of the functions of your job, Use of PPE, knowledge of documentation on the prevention of occupational hazards, legal authorizations for safe work and any other that may be applicable.
· Comply with the Quality regulations that apply to the development of its functions.
· Ensure the integration of the site into the Adamed Structure & ways of working.
· Propose actions, projects, and means to meet the needs according to the resources of the site.
· Plans and structures the deployment of information systems like ERP for the Supply Chain team, organizes the project teams and administers them as part of the deployment.
· Manage the cabin weighing booth team ensuring a seamless operation & supply to the Production team.
· Customer Services and KPIS: Interpretation of OOS & Alert Report for Market SC with actions plan
Materials Flow & Shipments:
• Ensures and optimizing materials flow from suppliers to customers, by mgmt. of resources (people, equipment & expertise)
• Focusing on efficiency and cost reduction while complying with local regulations like GMP, safety standards.
• Oversees Inbound-to-Outbound process.
• Monitor and report: Define and report control parameters (+QDCI)
• Management of Customs and other regulations
D: Decide on operating model in Warehouse management (tactical warehouse planning)
Inventory Management:
• Ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitoring stock levels
• Conducting cyclical inventory (or annual physical inventory checks)
• Preventing obsolescence and destruction
• Maintaining dashboards for stock coverage.
Tactical Warehouse planning (capacity, labor, processes).
• Creating transparency of needs for the future and translate them to projects/ initiates.
• Warehouse capacity management – 0 - 36 months view
• Ensure delivery of started initiatives
D: Decider on projects need to be started (related to warehouse)
A/I: Strong advisor in project approval committee (related to warehouse)
Operational Budget:
Monitor and align operational budget related to spend of warehouse and transportation costs.
Logistics IT Systems & MD:
Ensuring that IT system and tools are aligned with processes, Flag adjustments in logistics IT systems in line with processes, support implementation of new functionalities & new systems, ensuring alignment with ITS/Digital guidelines, and overseeing IT spending related to logistics. Ensuring regular updates and coordination of data changes in line with central rules and proposing projects to optimize data management (only changes related to WM).
Transversal responsibilities:
· Ensure that your work team complies with the standards (external or internal) in terms of labour legislation, quality protocols, respect for the environment and safety at work.Actively support the GMP compliance of the site by supporting inspections: preparation, execution, follow-up of CAPA's and site inspection readiness program.
· Promote the development of your team and actively participate in the talent management initiatives that are promoted in the company.Manage, lead, and coach his team to guarantee the security of them and their development needs.
· Ensure compliance with the protocols established by HSE, applicable both to its work team, as well as specific regulations for outsourcing personnel. Use of PPE (EPIs), knowledge of occupational risk prevention documentation, legal authorizations for safe work and any other that may be applicable.
· Guarantee that your work team has knowledge, training and that it complies with the Quality regulations that apply to the development of its functions.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Fully responsible and accountable of Warehouse & Logistics operations in Riells site, managing the team of Warehouse, Logistics & Cabin Weighing Booths.
MAIN PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)
Internal: Customer Service & Scheduling, Material Planning, Finance, Production & Packaging Quality Operations, Procurement, P&C.
External: Sanofi External Manufacturing, Custom Brockers, Logistic/Transportation Suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOW-HOW
· Warehouse & Logistics Process Optimization: Strong knowledge and experience in supply chain management, including planning, material lifecycle management, and continuous process improvement in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
· Compliance and Safety Expertise: Deep understanding of GMP standards, quality control, safety regulations, and environmental health and safety (EHS) norms, ensuring compliance in all operational aspects.
· Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Ability to make autonomous decisions, manage resources effectively, and execute root cause analysis for process deviations.
· Profound knowledge of 3rd Party Operations
· Proficient knowledge with planning & ERP systems, with the ability to derive recommendation out of provided data.
· Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple partners within site and global functions.
· Strong background in supply chain and experience in shopfloor execution will help to connect the dots.
· Interpersonal skills: ability to engage and collaborate with multiple partners within site functions to gather information and assess feasibility. Change agent: ensure best practice implementation and system adoption. Proactivity is a must, given the anticipation component of the position.
· Fluent in Spanish and in English.
· Pharmaceutical regulations understanding
Note for candidates: The Riells site, currently owned by Sanofi, is part of this transactional agreement and is planned to be transferred to Adamed. Candidates hired during this period will initially join with a Sanofi employment contract and will then be transferred to Adamed once the transaction is completed.
