Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Function as part of a team to develop and implement multiscale computational models of complex diseases based on detailed biological mechanistic knowledge.
  • Survey literature to gain understanding of critical physiological processes to be represented, and identify suitable mechanistic elements, data, parameters and assumptions to be included.
  • Analyze internal preclinical and clinical data to inform modeling activities.
  • Contribute to the computational infrastructure of the TDM group.
  • Assess the functionality, efficiency and validity of new models.
  • Analyze simulation results and identify suitable strategies to resolve issues pertaining to model performance and accuracy.
  • Communicate technical material to internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain extensive documentation of model development process, and data analysis.
  • Maintain quantitative systems pharmacology expertise through comprehensive education including attendance and participation in conferences, scientific workshops etc.

About you

Basic Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master's degree in systems pharmacology, biology, computational biology, systems biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • For candidates with PhD degrees: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience generating disease models, mechanistic/multiscale models or QSP models. Academic research experience, internships and post-doctoral fellows will be considered.
  • For candidates with Master's degrees: Minimum 4 years of experience generating disease models, mechanistic/multiscale models or QSP models in industry/pharma setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of productivity in mechanistic or QSP modeling as evident with publications.
  • Machine learning experience.
  • Proficiency in mathematical modeling using differential equations and programming as demonstrated by hands-on experience in a variety of computational tools such as MATLAB, Julia and R (MATLAB preferred).
  • Knowledge of Immuno-oncology or Neuroscience.
