Location: Denver, CO

About the Job:

As Sanofi's Hematologic Oncology franchise continues to grow, we need exceptional talent who can operate at the intersection of strategy and execution. The Zone Development Manager is a high-visibility role designed for ambitious commercial professionals ready to make a measurable impact on business performance — and accelerate their own career journey.

You'll gain strategic visibility, analytics expertise, and cross-functional relationships that prepare you for future leadership opportunities — whether in the field or home office. Advancement is based on demonstrated impact and organizational opportunity.

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

About Sanofi:

We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The Zone Development Manager supports two Divisional General Managers (West and Central) and a combined field team of Regional Business Directors, Account Business Managers, Key Account Managers, and Thought Leader Liaisons.

  • This role requires approximately 40% travel to support field activities, divisional meetings, and training programs.

  • Candidates should ideally reside within the West or Central region.

  • Candidates based in the Boston/Cambridge, MA area are also encouraged to apply, as proximity to Sanofi's home office provides additional development opportunities for those with long-term home office career aspirations.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the West Divisional General Manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsibilities are organized across three core areas of focus. Prioritization is directed by the Divisional General Manager and may shift based on evolving business needs.

Communications & Operations (~40% of Role):

  • Operationalize divisional strategy and communications — Create agendas for key divisional meetings, execute timely follow-up, and assign actionable items with clear accountability to appropriate stakeholders

  • Manage divisional resources and budget — Coordinate promotional programming, congress activities, and budget allocation to maximize business impact

  • Drive operational excellence — Help train field teams on key business tools and systems (Veeva, analytics platforms); pilot new initiatives before broader rollout

  • Support strategic account planning — Implement and scale account planning initiatives across the division to optimize customer engagement

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration — Participate on key work streams (SFAST, marketing partnerships, special projects) to ensure the field voice is represented in home office decisions

Data & Insights (~40% of Role):

  • Track and analyze performance metrics across account, divisional, regional, and territory levels to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making

  • Conduct sales and gap analyses to determine the effectiveness of sales strategy and recommend solutions to improve sales performance

  • Provide ongoing national, divisional, regional, and territory-level analysis to identify ways to optimize overall performance

  • Evaluate current analytics tools in partnership with the Divisional General Manager and provide ongoing input for improvement

  • Share analytics best practices across the division and nation in collaboration with the Divisional General Manager

Professional Development (~20% of Role):

  • Collaborate with training and field teams to develop comprehensive POAs that align with organizational goals

  • Support planning and successful execution of POA meetings in conjunction with the POA Planning Group

  • Participate in field working groups including SFAST, IC, Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs), Data Champs, and Culture Team initiatives

  • Support New Hire Training programs and ABM field training initiatives

About you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required; life sciences or business preferred | MBA a plus

  • 4+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device in roles such as sales, commercial operations, marketing, training, or project management

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product information

  • Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs as required; approximately 40% travel expected

  • Valid driver's license

  • Must reside within the West or Central region, or in the Boston/Cambridge, MA area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology commercial experience strongly preferred

  • Experience in field-based training, project management, commercial operations, sales, sales leadership, or marketing

  • Proven track record as a high-level performer with demonstrated readiness for expanded responsibility

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute business plans that achieve commercial goals

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level presentation ability

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to influence without authority

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, whether formal or informal

  • Career aspirations toward home office leadership, field management, or senior commercial roles
