Job Title: Field Operations Manager, Rare Blood Disorders / Oncology

About the Job:

The Sanofi Patient Support Services (PSS) team is focused on supporting patients wishing to access Sanofi therapies.  This is achieved by offering programs that provide reimbursement and logistics support, financial assistance, and patient education.  In addition to the program offerings, the PSS organization is also home to field teams that provide education and support to patients and customers.

The Field Operations Manager, PSS RBD/ONC will provide operational support to the RBD/ONC Clinical Educator (CE) teams, the Community Relations and Education Manager (CoRe) team, and Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) teams. This includes the coordination of activities impacting all CEs, CoRes, and FRMs, analytics and KPIs, budgeting and planning activities, and vendor management. The candidate must be solution-oriented, operationally savvy, creative, highly organized, flexible, and adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders. This will be a highly visible position interacting with many internal functional groups within Sanofi, and external vendors. The position will report to the Director, Field Reimbursement Manager, Hemophilia and is remote.

Main Responsibilities:

A summary of responsibilities is outlined below, however the ability to flex and prioritize in response to changing business needs is of the utmost importance

  • Serve as key liaison between the RBD/ONC CE, CoRe, and FRM teams and Home Office on all Field Operations related issues and is a conduit for feedback from the field to help determine best practices and approach to driving business

  • Support projects for field force sizing, alignments, deployment, targeting, and call planning exercises

  • Participate in strategic business planning and budget process for the RBD/ONC CE, CoRe, and FRM teams Budget/ F1 / F2, LRP, Strategic plan

  • In collaboration with, and when necessary cross functional partners, develop and manage field force alignments, resource requirements, and any expansion/realignment initiatives

  • Work closely with the Head of Patient Services RBD/ONC and the CE, CoRe, and FRM Directors, in the development, communication and implementation of contests

  • Liaison between Field Leadership and the Business Operations Team on Transparency and CIA related tasks

  • Work closely with the Head of Patient Services RBD/ONC and the CE, CoRe, and FRM Directors in planning, communicating, and executing various projects

  • Identifies needs and communicates to appropriate functional area for support & assistance

  • Raises key issues across the business to appropriate cross functional partners/teams

  • Provide support to the RBD/ONC PSS organization through ad-hoc analyses that may be needed to support or help drive strategy

  • Work with the Head of Patient Services RBD/ONC and the CE, CoRe, and FRM Directors in defining, developing and/or evaluating standard KPI's for field activity, including but not limited to call plan effectiveness, and resource utilization

  • Identify areas for improvement within the RBD/ONC CE, CoRe, and FRM Teams for standardization, process improvements, training, and opportunities for automation

  • Manage the Progress of multiple strategic projects and prioritize with respect to timelines while meeting project milestones

  • Coordinate CE, CoRe, and FRM related trainings with the AD RBD/ONC Patient Support Services Training. Deliver training if necessary.

  • Represent the RBD/ONC CE, CoRe, and FRMs team on all POA planning meetings

  • Assist in the management of the "new hire" process for members of the CE, CoRe, and FRM leadership teams

  • Partner with Insights and Analytics to align on field KPI tracking and business planning efforts

  • Manage external partners with ad-hoc and on-going projects including budget management, scope of work, and budget planning

  • Drive operational aspects for quarterly business planning and business reviews including agenda creation, management of content, and final presentations

  • Initiate and lead yearly Business Review Planning for field driving collaboration and innovation across brand team and cross-functional matrix

  • Act as a culture role model by demonstrating inclusive and supportive leadership qualities

About You:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years relevant commercial experience in the healthcare industry and/or consulting

  • Strong leadership/management and analytical skills, ability to delivery on project objectives in a timely manner required

  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority

  • Excellent writing and organizational skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PSS or other commercial specialty experience

  • Highly self-directed; Must be able to proactively and independently work issues and manage projects with minimal direction

  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leaders, cross-functional and cross-organizational teams in a matrix environment

  • Previous experience in bio-pharmaceutical commercial role

  • Field experience is strongly preferred

Travel Requirements:

  • 20-30 percent travel required

  • Travel includes attendance at POAs, formal training programs, national and regional meetings, vendor site visits, and company events
