The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the generation, execution, and summary of site-wide equipment requalifications to maintain annual compliance requirements.


This position reports to and supports the Sterilization Validation Manager, who is ultimately responsible for the efficient delivery of the requalification programs for the Swiftwater Campus and ensuring ongoing performance of qualified sterilization processes.


The Maintenance Technician will have interactions with all levels of the organization including HSE, Industrial Operations, Engineering, contractors, R&D, QV, QA, and various other support groups.

The Lead SVM Technician is responsible for the participation in field testing, protocol executions, and troubleshooting of all site-wide sterilization and depyrogenation equipment in order to maintain a Quality Class A environment in GMP facilities. Additional responsibilities involve management of test equipment, administration of validation software systems, inventory controls, and trainer of associated equipment and sterilization processes.

Main Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Timely execution of Requalification Strategy

  • HSE considerations for Requalification (SPA & LOTO)

  • SME for Validation Instrumentation

  • Work Order Accuracy and Completeness

KPI’s & Metrics:

  • On-time execution of Validation Instrument Calibration and Periodic Requalifications

  • Deviations due to instrument issues

  • Out-of-tolerance rate (including missing) of Validation Instruments

About You

Required Skills & Experience:

  • High School or equivalent required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Demonstration of organization and/or inventory controls

  • Ability to set and re-prioritize activities

  • CQV techniques (e.g. temperature mapping, SIP validation)

  • Minimum 2 years experience in sterilization or sterilization related support

  • Knowledge of SAP, iShift, and Cycle Count

Physical Requirements & Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs

  • Valid Driver’s License
