Sanofi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain professional who will help deliver primary site objectives of product supply to patients by managing HHS pandemic preparedness contracts, directing egg supply chain operations, and coordinating Fluzone antigen production scheduling.  This multifaceted role combines leadership responsibilities as Principal Investigator for the HHS Pandemic Preparedness Program with comprehensive supply chain management for egg supply and Fluzone antigen scheduling.

As Principal Investigator, you'll lead project teams to achieve contract milestones within budget, serve as the technical point of contact, and ensure contract continuity. In your capacity as Egg Supply Chain Manager, you will execute the supplier strategies for Influenza campaigns, ensure contractual obligations are met, and enhance biosecurity measures against Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. The Fluzone antigen scheduling component involves developing tactical production schedules, coordinating cross-functionally with Operations, MSAT, and Supply Chain teams, while optimizing inventory levels and resolving capacity gaps.

You'll drive continuous improvement by maintaining scheduling data accuracy, contributing to scheduling rules development, and participating in key meetings including Handover to Scheduler, Scheduling, Supply Chain +QDCI, E2E Flow, and MRP meetings. Additional responsibilities include master data management, inventory optimization, cost-saving initiatives through efficient campaign planning, and contributing to innovation and sustainability goals through best practices implementation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Principle Investigator - HHS Pandemic Preparedness Program : Project Director / Principle Investigator for HHS contract “Maintaining of Embryonated Egg Supply for Non-Seasonal Production of Pandemic Vaccine". This position will serve as Principle Investigator for additional HHS egg contracts if applicable. Duties include leading project teams including Sanofi and contracted personnel to ensure all contract milestones are achieved within the allotted funding budget, serve as principle point of contact for the technical aspects of the contract, lead monthly project team meetings and HHS conferences, and prepare monthly progress reports. Direct M&S and SC activities that support the HHS Egg Supply Contract milestones and deliverables. Ensure contract continuity by leading efforts when Request for Proposals are issued.

  • Egg Supply Chain Manager: Develop and direct supplier execution of site egg supply strategy for Northern and Southern Hemisphere Influenza Campaigns, and eggs to support quality control and seed. Ensure egg supplier contractual obligations are fulfilled with no supply interruption. Support Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) initiatives to enhance egg supply biosecurity & mitigate critical supply vulnerability. Support strategic initiatives to manage the egg supply network to support production requirements, and manage costs. Develop program to ensure timely payment of egg supplier invoices and mitigate risk of delivery stoppage due to over-due payment balances.

  • Supply Chain Antigen Scheduler - Fluzone:    The role involves developing and managing tactical production schedules for Fluzone antigen campaigns, while continuously monitoring and adjusting short-term execution plans based on factors such as yields, demand changes, and potential risks. You will lead cross-functional coordination efforts with Operations, MSAT, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution of plans. A key responsibility is forecasting and managing inventory levels to optimize supply while minimizing write-offs.  You'll be expected to identify and resolve capacity gaps through collaborative planning with various stakeholders.  This role serves as a critical liaison between Antigen Business Systems, Site Supply Chain leadership, Global Supply Planning and the Theraputic area to ensure efficient production execution and resource utilization.

  • Continuous improvements: This role, as part of the Level 1 PCU, will focus on continuous improvement by maintaining and enhancing scheduling data accuracy, including lead times and yields. They will contribute to defining scheduling rules through collaboration agreements and actively participate in key CI-focused meetings such as Supply Chain +QDCI, E2E Flow, and MRP. In these meetings, the scheduler will work alongside CI specialists to identify and address improvement opportunities, thereby supporting overall process optimization.

Further responsibilities

  • Master Data: Working with SCPP and Flow Controllers,monitor and update ERP data (e.g. standard lead times, Global Release Process Time)

  • Inventory Control: The scheduler will optimize Work-In-Progress (WIP) and raw material inventory levels, balancing production sequences and batch sizes to improve inventory turnover, minimize holding costs, and maintain accuracy while adhering to storage and shelf-life constraints.

  • Cost Saving: The scheduler will focus on minimizing changeover times, maximizing equipment utilization through efficient campaign planning, and coordinating preventive maintenance to reduce downtime, while continuously identifying and addressing scheduling-related waste to drive cost savings.

  • Innovation and Sustainability: Contribute to the company's transformation agenda by driving innovation in supply chain management practices. Contribute to the company's sustainability goals through efficient inventory management.

  • Best Practices Exchange: Work closely with other stakeholders across site and global M&S teams to identify and implement best practices.

  • Leads weekly meetings with the hatcheries while in campaign

  • Leads Handover to Scheduler Meeting with Supply Planner

  • Leads Scheduling Meeting  with DS area

    • These meetings form a critical part of the Scheduler's role in coordinating between planning, manufacturing, quality control, and other stakeholders to ensure a realistic and feasible production schedule.

  • Contributes to BARDA negotiations by developing Egg Produced Not Taken (EPNT) scenarios

  • Collaborating as needed with the BARDA team during the contract negotiations

  • Contributes to Level 1 Supply Chain +QDCI Meeting 

  • Participates in Level 1 Production +QDCI Meeting - Optional

  • Contributes E2E Flow Meeting (FS-VM-23)

  • Contributes MRP Meeting (FS-VM-4)

  • Contributes Site Capacity Review- Optional for Scheduler Leader

  • Contributes Level 2 Supply Chain +QDCI Meeting- Optional for Scheduler Leader

  • Collaborating weekly with manufacturing and maintenance

  • Collaborating weekly with Site planner to resolve FG OOS/Below min alerts

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree is required preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar. APICS certification is an asset.

  • Experience: 2-5 years of Supply Chain or related experience with proven track record of agile mindset, driving decision-making and optimizing business outcome for its perimeter. 

  • Interpersonal skills: ability to engage and collaborate with multiple partners within site functions to gather information and assess feasibility. The ability to lead and motivate teams, strong communication skills, and the ability to address complex technical and business challenges. ·

  • Change agent: ensure best practice implementation and system adoption / system evolution, including flexibility to keep evolving with business needs.

  • Technical skills: A strong understanding of supply chain processes and how they integrate with SAP. A combination of technical expertise and business acumen.

  • Languages: Fluent in English to work within a global function
