About the Job
Sanofi Manufacturing and Supply organization is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Modulus. The Modulus Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi strategy as it aims at creating a new manufacturing concept consisting of a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities, modular, adaptable and agile, leveraging new disruptive technologies, to better address Specialty Care Biologics products.
Main Accountabilities
Design and implement automation solutions (SCADA, DCS, PLCs)
Support IoT device integration to enhance connectivity
Manage assigned automation projects to meet targets
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Optimize production processes through automation
Follow cybersecurity protocols to protect systems
Participate in global networks, contribute lessons learned to the network
Participate in global initiatives when requested
Responsible to understand current global design guidelines and application
Provide SME support for deviation root cause analysis
Lead implementation of automation scope for site CAPAs
Key roles (D,.A,.I)
D: Decide on technical configurations, programming standards, and system integration methods
D/A: Manage end-to-end data processes. Manage connectivity solutions (from L0 to L2.5)
A: Maintain and update compliance documentation, as directed
A/I: Identify and support process improvements under strategic guidance
A/I: Assist in OT/IT integration with cybersecurity compliance to ensure secure system interoperability
I: Provide feedback on IoT roadmap to optimize production connectivity
I: Contribute to project prioritization and resource needs based on project progress
Local Specificities
Automation Systems Management
Design, implement, and maintain automated manufacturing systems
Support and optimize Distributed Control Systems (DCS), PLCs, and SCADA systems
Ensure reliable operation of automation control systems
Technical Design & Implementation
Develop and maintain system architecture for automation systems
Design and implement control logic and automation sequences
Create and maintain HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications
Develop or maintain/update technical specifications for automation projects
System Integration
Integrate various automation systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, MES) alongside with relevant data historians
Maintain connectivity between manufacturing systems
Quality & Compliance
Ensure automation systems meet GMP requirements
Execute CSV routine or project activities
As SMEs for respective automation systems, support regulatory and self inspections, participate in deviation investigations and implement CAPA pertaining to automation systems.
Project Support
Support site projects by providing technical expertise for automation scope from design to commissioning, project documentation and technical specifications management
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Routine Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve automation system issues
Provide technical support for manufacturing operations
System Performance
Monitor and optimize automation system performance, maintain system reliability and availability
Implement system improvements and upgrades
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Data Integrity & Security
Ensure data integrity in automated systems
Collaborate with Digital team on cybersecurity measures implementation for control systems
Maintain proper access controls and security protocols
Support system backup and recovery procedures
Documentation & Standards
Maintain technical documentation for automated systems
Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ensure compliance to engineering and quality standards
Training & Knowledge Transfer
Provide technical training to operations personnel
Support operator training on automated systems
Keep up-to-date with automation technology trends
Vendor Management
Manage automation system vendors for system troubleshooting, maintenance and project execution.
Review vendor proposals and documentation
Support vendor selection for automation projects
Manage vendor relationships for system support
Expected Experience
Minimum 8 years' experience working on DeltaV DCS, including system setup and commissioning, batch programming and testing, operation support.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in GMP regulated industry, with good knowledge on data integrity and computer system validation lifecycle deliverables.
Experience in managing change controls, deviations, system maintenance.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, expertise, location, and others. Employees may be eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs.
