(Sr. )Strategic Planning Manager

As part of the Strategic Planning and Operations team, this role supports the BU Project Management Office & New Product Planning Lead in driving overall BU strategy development, planning, analytics, new product planning, and innovative program design and execution. The role serves as a key integrator across strategy, operations, and commercial pipeline activities.

• Actively contribute to strategy development, communication, and execution in alignment with organizational and BU key strategic priorities, including proactive preparation of deliverables

• Provide commercial insights and contribute to China development strategy to support successful development and commercialization

• Support business development activities including business case development and opportunity screening

• Serve as the key contact for corporate and BU-level innovative programs, facilitating efficient decision-making and execution

• Support organizational transformation and internal change initiatives to adapt to evolving external environments

• Collaborate and coordinate with cross-BU and cross-functional partners to drive forward corporate/BU-level projects

• Support the Portfolio Lead in obtaining stakeholder alignment on business evaluations and securing business case approvals

• Lead commercial assessment of target molecules/indications in the pipeline; develop business cases including market understanding, pricing strategy, revenue forecast, and P&L for relevant molecules/indications

• Maintain active engagement with Global NPP and commercial teams for new product forecasting; drive functional alignment with R&D to accelerate commercialization in China

• Identify market research needs, partner with the market research team to lead research projects, and evaluate findings to inform commercial decisions

• Develop frameworks for performance tracking and assessment with clear implications for business actions

• Collect data and information from diverse sources to identify insights and business implications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above; Master’s degree/MBA preferred.  

• 5+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or management consulting, preferably in strategic planning, commercial strategy, business analytics or new product planning.

• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid business acumen.

•Experience in business planning, market assessment, forecasting and/or business case development is preferred.

•Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.

•Open-minded, self-driven and agile, with strong learning agility.

•Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English and Mandarin.
