About the job

As Supply Chain Specialist VIE within our Manufacturing & Supply team, you’ll act as the primary Supply Chain focal point for all products manufactured by CMOs, ensuring seamless integration between internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Supply Chain Management

• Design and implement supply strategies that balance service levels, inventory optimization, and cost efficiency in alignment with corporate policies.
• Lead the development of mid to long-term supply plans, anticipating market trends, demand fluctuations, and capacity constraints.
• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance supply chain resilience and mitigate risks across the CMO network.

Inventory & Service Level Optimization

• Monitor and ensure optimal stock levels in accordance with current inventory policies, preventing stockouts and excess inventory situations.
• Establish and maintain target service levels, working proactively to achieve KPIs and minimize business disruption.
• Develop advanced analytics and forecasting models to improve demand planning accuracy and inventory turnover.
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing action plans to reduce product destruction and manage materials with short shelf life.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Manage the placement and tracking of purchase orders with CMOs, ensuring alignment with supply chain planning tools and business requirements.
• Monitor delivery fulfillment through systematic supplier performance tracking, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery compliance.
• Assess and manage risks of contractual penalties related to OTIF performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure CMO compliance with all contractual clauses, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support periodic reviews of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), analyzing demand patterns and optimizing parameters such as MOQ, lead times, and minimum shelf life requirements.

New Product Introduction & Lifecycle Management

• Oversee supply chain activities for New Product Launches (NPL), ensuring timely market availability and successful commercialization.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to develop robust supply plans for product introductions.
• Follow artwork changes and updates between CMOs and internal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical accuracy.
• Support product lifecycle management initiatives, including phase-ins, phase-outs, and portfolio optimization.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

• Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for CMO performance, including OTIF, lead time compliance, and quality metrics.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews with CMOs, identifying gaps, opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure implementation/participation in Supply Chain Projects as a KU for a period.
• Create plans for improvement with multifunctional team, when the process is putting the business in risk.

Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management (New/Enhanced)

• Lead functional meetings with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Logistics, Warehousing, Commercial, and COMEX teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain visibility.
• Serve as the escalation point for supply chain issues, coordinating rapid response and resolution across internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior supply chain analysts, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Represent Supply Chain in strategic business reviews, presenting insights, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with CMO leadership to drive collaboration and strategic alignment.

Risk Management & Business Continuity 

• Proactively identify and assess supply chain risks (capacity constraints, quality issues, geopolitical factors) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage crisis situations and supply disruptions, coordinating with global teams to minimize business impact.
• Ensure timely communication of quality-related supply issues to global Quality teams for escalation and resolution.
• Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity.

Compliance, Ethics & Corporate Responsibility

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with Sanofi's Ethics and Integrity principles, policies, and codes of conduct.
• Comply with and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies to prevent accidents, mitigate health risks, and reduce environmental impact.
• Support and champion Sanofi's Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, ensuring respectful treatment and equal opportunities for all employees and partners.
• Ensure all supply chain activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards.

About you

Experience:

• Previous experience in areas related to Supply Chain and Industrial.

Soft and technical skills:

• Proactive, autonomous person.
• Focused on results, advanced analytical skills (Excel), advanced interpersonal skills, team player.
• Ability to manage and support complex and simultaneous projects.
• Knowledge of forecasting activities, contact with suppliers, process of planning, scheduling and production control, besides GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and its application in the distribution chain of pharmaceutical products.
• Knowledge of the flow of information from the analysis of the demand to the availability of the final production the Distribution Center is preferred.

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Logistics, Engineering or similar field.

Languages:

• Advanced English knowledge, Spanish is preferred.
