About the job

Responsible for managing and developing the in-field access team (Market Access Managers - MAMs) across Brazil focusing on private payer-accounts.

The Private Payers Lead must demonstrate significant people leadership skills, deep understanding of access/payment models in private healthcare system, as well as expertise in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and Key Performance Indications (KPI) management.

Main responsibilities:

  • Define, lead and execute for providers, with a greater emphasis on biggest payers (Hapvida, Amil and Prevent Seniro) and other large payers
  • Develop and sustain strategic relationships with key institutional stakeholders, such as CEOs, auditors and regulations departments
  • Serve as Ensure that MAMs engage stakeholders from payer accounts to comprehend the clinical and economical value proposition of Sanofi portfolio, as well as guarantee the execution of access strategic plans in targeted accounts;
  • Conquer/guarantee decentralized reimbursement of Sanofi portfolio in the private healthcare settings regardless the inclusion of some products in the positive list of coverage drugs by ANS;
  • Prospect new opportunities, designing and implementing projects that enhance patient access;
  • Work closely with its Market Access counterparts (Strategic Access, HEOR, etc), Commercial, Medical and Business Unit leads to fine-tune the objectives vs healthcare landscape in order to communicate the appropriate information to the in-field access team;
  • Monitor performance KPIs and expansion potential of each client.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, compliance guidelines and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Promote the culture of Ethics and Business Integrity in your team by serving as a role model by ensuring appropriate knowledge and adherence to the principles of ethics and integrity, Sanofi policies and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market.
  • Comply with and promote Sanofi Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies in relation to the team it manages, which includes the Road Safety Program (Road Safety) with the purpose of preventing accidents, avoiding health risks, promoting the well-being of employees and reducing environmental impacts resulting from the execution of their work activities.
  • Support Sanofi Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and initiatives to ensure all employees and partners are treated with respect and receive equal opportunities.

About you

  • Experience: Previous leadership of access, sales or demand teams.

  • Soft and technical skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of the supplementary healthcare sector (ANS, contracts, adjustments, audits, etc.)
    • Prospect new opportunities, designing and implementing projects that enhance patient access;
    • Expansion of the active operator base and penetration into new regions or segments.
    • Increased profitability of contracts through strategic negotiations and mix optimization.
    • Achieve positive satisfaction rates among strategic customers.
    • Improve the level of relationships with institutional decision-makers in priority accounts.
    • Successful inclusion of new products in the portfolio of payers.
    • Customer-centric approach, understanding their reality to propose relevant solutions.
    • Critical thinking and use of data to support decisions and identify opportunities.
    • Ability to deal with dynamic environments, regulatory changes and market variations.
    • Ability to speak English and Portuguese
