The Process Utilities department is dedicated to the uptime and availability of plant and critical process utilities at the Ridgefield, NJ campus. The Process Utilities team maintains equipment in Boiler Room 124, Process Utilities Room 125, 4 Bell Dr. warehouse and is staffed 24/7. A NJ High Pressure Black Seal operator license (or higher) is required. Operators monitor the Ridgefield Campus through Honeywell / Rockwell building management systems to maintain appropriate GMP conditions throughout the facility.

Main Responsibilities:
The Process Utilities Operator – Maintenance Tech III is part of the Facilities Department at Ridgefield, NJ. The responsibilities of this role include:
The department operates 8 or 12-hour fixed shifts. The candidate must be able to work nights, weekends, holiday and overtime as required.
Monitor, operate, adjust and repair the facility’s process critical equipment, systems and utilities in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.
Report alarm or “out of specification” conditions to required personnel as per SOP’s and take the appropriate actions required to correct the condition.
Perform preventative/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on process critical utility equipment and systems including but not limited to: WFI/PW systems, clean steam systems, HVAC-R systems, boilers and high pressure steam systems, chilled water systems, air handling systems and water treatment systems.
Perform daily equipment readings on all process and non-process equipment.
Assist with the collection and reporting of monthly energy numbers.
Maintain high housekeeping standards for assigned areas.
Maintain detailed verbal/written communication throughout assigned shift and at shift turnover.
Communicate in detail verbally and via written shift logs, maintenance logs, process checklists and information systems (CMMS, E-mail, etc.)
Adhere to safe operating procedures and work instructions.
Gather operating data and assist with preparing reports as required.
Sample and test process and utility system fluids as required.
Safely handle, use, and maintain the proper inventory levels, of all process chemicals and consumables required in the process utilities area.
Support the shutdown and isolation of process critical equipment for all maintenance activities.
Maintain a thorough understanding of and adherence to all company, cGMP, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
HSE
It is required that individuals care for their own safety and wellbeing. Individuals must promote a safe working environment for employees and contractors working in their area of responsibility.
The individual must support all Sanofi and site HSE policies as well as ensure that work performed is compliant with local HSE regulations.
Individuals must complete all required HSE trainings. Everyone is required to report all accidents and incidents and support investigations in their areas of responsibility. Individuals must ensure timely closure of HSE actions owned by their departments.
About You
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Current State of New Jersey Black Seal High Pressure Boiler Operator License (or higher).
3 – 5 years experience working in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or other regulated environment.
3 – 5 years experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing WFI, RO and clean steam systems.
3 – 5 years experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of high pressure boilers, chilled water systems, compressed air systems and emergency generators.
3 – 5 years experience monitoring and operating a BMS in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. • 3 – 5 years experience working within an OSHA and EPA regulated facility.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Be able to wear all required safety equipment, i.e. safety glasses, hard hat, safety shoes, gloves, etc.
Be able to lift up to 70 pounds, climb stairs, work at heights, and perform work in extreme temperatures.
Preferred Candidates will also possess the following:
Be able to work as part of a team but also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Be knowledgeable in LOTO, PPE, Confined Space, Hazmat and Electrical Safety programs.
Experience reading and interpreting Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and control schematics.
Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Have experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Proficient using MS Office suite applications
Blue Seal Boiler Engineer License.
Refrigeration Blue Seal Engineer License.
