The Global Brand Manager (GBM) will be responsible for the co-development and implementation of the marketing strategy and tactical plan for the Nuvaxovid global brand, aligned to the Protection Without Compromise agenda, and achieving short- and long-term business goals to maximize revenue. The GBM will primarily manage the advertising agency and drive tactical execution and digital/omnichannel strategy and execution to support the global launches of Nuvaxovid.  The GBM will assist the Global Brand Leader in leading the Global Brand Team, the cross functional team that creates and executes the global brand strategy. The GBM will be leading the transversal execution of brand-specific priorities.

The Flu-COVID Franchise is a key growth driver for Sanofi and is expected to grow by over 10% in 2022 to 2.9B€, driven by the continued introduction of the differentiated products, including a combination Flu-COVID vaccine in development.

The Global Brand Manager will be a highly visible, cross-functional role, requiring close work with the Global Brand Lead, the Global Brand Team, the wider Global Flu Franchise Team, and Country Brand Teams in key markets (UK, US, CA, DE, FR, IT, ES, AU).  Ideal candidates will be those comfortable with challenging the status quo, acting for change, and taking ownership of ideas and activities in a cross-functional, matrix environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the Nuvaxovid cross-functional global brand team to assess, update and implement a comprehensive brand plan that will grow awareness and adoption of Nuvaxovid globally

  • Drive brand priorities with strong management and coordination with the advertising agency to prepare cross-functional teams globally and locally to execute

  • Shape the digital/omnichannel strategy and key tactics with key launch markets and the wider Flu franchise to ensure consistency

  • Demonstrate ownership to improve outcomes, processes, collaboration and increase personal impact by proactively engaging in efforts to improve job performance, individually and for the Global Brand Team

DIMENSION/SCOPE

  • Global scope, with emphasis on key Global Brand Team markets

  • The Global Brand Manager will assist to bring brand marketing expertise and assist the creation, development, and execution of a long-term brand strategy (capturing the product’s value, identifying opportunities, and fostering target activation throughout the product lifecycle)

  • He/she will contribute to brand marketing strategy and ensure its relevance along the life of the product, assisting in the definition of the global customer segmentation and the messaging strategy

  • The GBM will support deployment of the global strategy for key GBT markets.

About You

Experience

  • Shape the digital/omnichannel strategy and key tactics with key launch markets and the wider Flu franchise to ensure consistency

  • A strong marketer, ideally with previous country or regional experience in sales and/or marketing.

  • At least 8 years of experience as a global/regional/local marketer.

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required for the role.

  • Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to develop an actionable brand strategy and ensure its operationalization at country level.

  • Previous experience in leading cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthetize and deliver clear and impactful presentation to senior management.

  • Experience/Good understanding of mature markets dynamics (North America, EU, and Japan).

  • Required to have core knowledge about all commercial topics such as market/customer segmentation, omni-channel activation, comm agency management, external stakeholder engagement, competitive intel, payer systems, etc.

  • Language: English (native or very fluent).

Soft skills

  • Impact-driven solution-oriented leader with strong business acumen.

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to provide clear directions, drive alignment with other functions, make decision/arbitrage in a timely manner and drive/track execution.

  • Be comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing conflicts.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships and achieve positive impact & influence without authority.

  • Ability to prioritize and maintain focus on most business-critical activities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work with uncertainty, and quickly adjust to changing priorities.

Would be a Plus

  • MBA or Master's degree in a business school

  • Previous experience in vaccines or seasonal vaccines (like Flu)

  • Previous GBM experience in the GloCal model

  • Scientific or Medical background (Pharm D or PhD)

  • Language: French

TRAVEL

  • This position requires typically 10-20% of travel
