About the job
The Safety Officer supports the Italian/Malta Country Safety Head in ensuring local Pharmacovigilance (PV) activities comply with applicable regulations and quality standards, promoting the safe and appropriate use of Sanofi products.
This role involves close collaboration with in-country partner functions (including Medical, Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical departments) and Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance teams at local, Regional, and Global levels.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborating with external service providers to manage Individual Case Safety Reports/incoming PV data
- Supporting local safety surveillance activities and local implementation of risk minimization measures
- Contributing to PV aspects in patient support programs, market research, digital assets, studies, and compassionate use programs
- Assisting in local labeling review for safety aspects
- Helping maintain and optimize a robust PV Quality system and supporting audit/inspection readiness
- Conducting PV training for internal staff and third parties
- Participating in the preparation of Pharmacovigilance agreements and PV clauses for third parties
About you
- Experience: proven experience in Pharmacovigilance/Health-regulated activities
- Soft and technical skills: Knowledge of European Good Vigilance Practices and Italian Pharmacovigilance and health-regulated legislations; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work effectively with country representatives and global stakeholders in dynamic environments; Capable of managing multiple priorities independently while maintaining high-quality standards; Attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills; Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or other healthcare related profession.
- Languages: Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English is essential.
