About the job
The Tax & Accounting Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of taxation and financial reporting within the organization. This role ensures compliance with local tax regulations, manages the preparation of accurate financial statements, and provides strategic insights to optimize tax efficiency. The Tax & Accounting Lead supports accounting activities of closing and reporting
Main Responsibilities:
TAX
Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize the company's tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Compliance: Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations related to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, including but not limited to income tax, sales tax, transfer pricing, and customs duties.
Tax Planning: Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies through proper planning, including the evaluation of tax implications for business decisions, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Tax Reporting: Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as necessary.
Tax matters and tax auditors Ensure timely tax returns,Ensure compliance for indirect tax computation, control and filing (VAT, Withholding tax, other indirect Tax)..Support in tax audits
Transfer Pricing: Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation, ensuring compliance with global transfer pricing regulations.
Tax Audits: Manage tax audits and inquiries, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide necessary documentation and support.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax-related risks, including potential exposure to penalties and interest. Develop and implement internal controls and processes to minimize tax risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, legal, and regulatory teams, to ensure tax considerations are adequately addressed in business initiatives, contracts, and agreements.
External Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, authorities, and industry peers to stay informed about emerging tax issues and best practices.
Accounting
Accounting and closing Manage any additional reporting entry or local statutory adjustment which may be needed to close properly the books Reconciliation of accounts.
Reporting Ensure financial reporting been performed as per legal requirement, standard and Group rules any statistical or local reporting for tax or governmental organization statutory accounts MyTax reporting
Quality / Continuous improvement Drive continuous improvement
Ensure proper internal control framework
Auditors; Liaise with internal and external auditors to secure smooth audits
Maintain Compliance
Abide by the requirements of the code of Ethics including but not restricted to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company
Ethical Leadership
Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (including the Industry Code of Practice, Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken.

Comply with company procedures and current regulations on hygiene and safety.
Properly use the work equipment, dangerous substances, and preparations as well as the supplied collective and personal protective equipment according to the instructions received.
Promote and follow the HSE rules and ‘Act responsibly’ to protect yourself and others from an injury and ill health conditions while at the work locations and/or while using road e.g. traffic rules, emergency evacuation procedure, medical surveillance, healthy lifestyle etc.
Engage the HSE department in the related activities (where applicable) and be sure that the work performed follows the local HSE regulations, Corporate HSE Policy and key requirements.
Attend HSE training.
Promptly report to your superior any dangerous conditions of which you become aware
About you
Education: Bachelor's of Commerce and Business Administration.
Related Experience: 3-5 years of experience in tax, Financial Accounting & Reporting.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Very good command of English language.
Tax experience is a must
A good knowledge of SAP systems.
Knowledge of best practice in an A2R environment.
Communication & presentations skills.
