In our GlobSupply PlanningTeam we are contributing to this visionevery day by building the bridge between Sanofi Manufacturing & Supply Sites and our Customers and Patients across 111 markets to ensure we supply our customers and patients with ourMedicines and Vaccinations. We are a high performing team of ca.2000 Supply Chain professionals with Patients and Customers at the heart of everything we do.
In this role you will mainly focus on people management, process excellence and planning system adoption. To ensure close collaboration within the Sanofi network, efficient Supply Chain standards and transparency and data-driven decision making.
Main responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of a new Supply Planning organizationSpecialty Care in Sanofi, leading Supply Planning activities (over a 3–36-month time horizon) across the network of Manufacturing Sites for GBUSpecialty Care, gathering the Supply Planning team together into one central team. Considering the specifics of GBU portfolio, (e.g. high number of launches, growing products) and focusing on relevant group of sites which might manufacture products for different GBUs.
Manage a significant team (20-30 members) encompassing supply planning teams for 'clusters' of sites (incl. supply planning managers, sitesupply planners – in charge of the supply plan for a given site – and network supply planners – in charge of workload rebalancing and cross-node continuity) and individual contributors responsible for SC performance and critical raw material planning.
Leadthe optimization of resources and assets within GBU Specialty Carefootprint to achieve optimum outcome, as dedicated counterpart to M&S GBU Head: oversee RCCP / MPS, drive load balancing between fungible assets and orchestrate arbitration on capacity (incl. allocation between product when conflicts arise).
Run and structure the monthly governance cycle being accountable for supply related topicsof IBP for sites/GBU in their scopeto maximizethe contribution of Global Supply Planning and achieve the best possible outcome for Sanofi business: partner with GBU manufacturing -e.g. sites leadership teams, GBU M&S Heads- as well as business owners – e.g. GBU SC, Finance M&S, Strategy - to pull all relevant levers allowing to build reliable supply plans that meet business requirements. Propose Rough cut capacity plan as well as levers to achieve realistic plan, including Site HC adjustment, Capex recommendation.
Summarize upcoming Supply Risks and propose Scenarioincluding risk and financial impact. Run a global Supply Review for the full scope (GBU M&S head, and LT) to support the timelydecision making process.
Monitor supply chain performance across sites and impulse SC community mindset across their teams; contributes for Inventory / Working Capital optimization, leads process to optimize / improve across the GBUs. Delivers target on all KPIs, implementing best practices & harmonizing Supply Chain processes and toolsets.
Develop (in conjunction with the M&S and Finance Business Partner), review and deliver the Financial Plan / Financial Forecasts, and the Strat Plan.
Support (with the People & Culture Team) the implementation of the change, recruiting into the new organization and building the required organizationalcapability in Supply Planning.
Lead the identification and implementation of opportunities to standardizeand simplify processes and technology, thinking beyond current practices / operating models to transform ways of working in the new Global Supply Planning Organization: design, development of adoption of new AI and Digital Platforms, and maintains a close partnership with Global Supply Chain Business Analytics and GPOs in Strategy & Excellence in Global Supply Chain to ensure we work to the highest standards
Facilitate advanced planning tool (Kinaxis) adoption in Specialty Care to ensure full E2E planning capability in Kinaxis from Finished Goods to Drug Substance.
Facilitate and foster best practice sharing of planning system usage across GBU
Lead team with focus on Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Leadership Development and Driving High Performance / Outcomes. Establishes a best in class and diverse team, hires the best talent, leverages people competencies, reinforces capability development.
Play a crucial role in supporting and enabling the safety culture, ensuring the well-being of our employees at Sanofi.
About you
Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading global supply chain operations, preferably in the biopharma sector, with a proven track record of managing complex supply networks and implementing strategic initiatives successfully.
Soft skills: Exceptional leadership abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of driving transformation and fostering collaboration across diverse teams and cultures. High level of emotional intelligence and business integrity; role model for behaviors consistent with our company values.
Technical skills: Proficient in supply chain management software (e.g., APS, ERP) and methodologies, with a deep understanding of demand planning, resource allocation, and performance metrics analysis. Ability to perform annual strategy cycle and tactical execution; knowledge of business frameworks; rounded presentation skills; ability to convince internal partners and negotiation skills is a must.
Education: Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar. additional certifications such as APICS being highly beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in additional languages is an asset, reflecting the global nature of the role and the need for effective communication across diverse geographical regions.
