We are a high performing team of c.2000 Supply Chain professionals with Patients and Customers at the heart of everything we do.
The new Global Supply Planning organization is a fully integrated team owning the 3-36 months’ Supply Planning horizon to provide a robust supply plan to internal sites, to increase reliability of IBP-horizon planning for key CMO as well as internal sites to the following nodes and to optimize our assets across the network to better serve our customers. The team is part of a network connecting the dots between demand, supply and logistics by close cooperation with Sites, local SC and global SC functions and focuses on Supply to meet patient and business needs.
Job Purpose:
The EM&S Planning lead manages the E2E flow in a network of key CMO ensuring transparency and reliability on the net demand, supply balance and the supply plan across the network. The accountability and focus of this role is the 3-36 months Supply Planning horizon to identify risks and opportunities in advance and mitigate those in close cooperation with EM&S and the CMO to ensure supply as well as planning and supply data reliability.

Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the mid-term capacity equation, contractual alignment and reliability of MPS for complex network of main CDMOs. Balance supply risks and opportunities related to limited capacities at CMO and consider competition on CMO capacities with other companies
Manage E2E flow in the network for the relevant horizon to ensure alignment across all nodes considering impact on supply and inventory
Drive net demand review: aggregate the net demand for key CDMOs / capacity unit and challenge relevant SCPP / SCPLs on the net demand of their respective products to ensure the correctness of the total net demand provided to the CDMO. Work closely with EM&S Team for CDMOs not managed by GSP.
Ensure reliability of planning parameters and hypothesis : clarify and validate assumptions (capacity constraints as per contract, MOQs, binding period…) to ensure accuracy of MPS plan within the planning system (at term, Kinaxis for all). Adjust master data based on info provided by EM&S teamson CDMO performance monitoring (OTIF, PPA, RCT, OOS…)
Analyze resulting plans generated by Kinaxis to identify D/S gaps and volume alerts on mid- and long-term horizon (net demand diverging from contracts, material availability risks on upstream flows). Identify business risksrelated to the new plan (OOS risks, idle capacity, inventory risks…) and ensure resolution of mid-term capacity issues in the relevant forums (EM&S SSR for key CDMOs, One EM&S GSR/ GBU Global Supply Review)
Create supply scenarios and collaborate with different functions (e.g. GSP, GBU SC, virtual site SC, ...) to facilitate decision making
Contribute to revenue growth by delivering the pipeline. Drive robust and reliable capacity and supply planning and decision taking to ensure timely launches and growth of strategic products
Prepare and collaborate with Site SC Head to build Site Supply Review deck: Align on deep dive/ escalation topics for CSR/GSR, KPIs
Prepare fluid horizon topics and recommendations to be presented to the monthly supply review with guidance from the EM&S Supply Planning Head (key decision-making instance at EM&S level) for endorsement by EM&S Leadership Team: valorize elaborated scenario based on input from EM&S schedulers and global finance (e.g., BOI, added value, etc.).
Support EM&S function to prepare for monthly review with CDMOs providing topics to be discussed: view on long-term evolution of vol. & capa., level of flexibility, key lifecycle event (PPQ, NPI…)
Conduct monthly handover with EM&S short term planner for month on the edge for key CDMOs (Q&A and sign-off session): share hypothesis and potential friction points
Further responsibilities
Build strong relationships with other functions and different stakeholder to facilitate information gathering
Adopt and improve standardized planning tools and process as defined by the Planning Center of Excellence
Introduce / refine / standardize SSR for key CDMOs. Build SSR where necessary to feed the overall IBP process for EM&S
Stakeholder management balancing/ prioritization be a counterpart for multiple the virtual sites SLT
Support budget/LRP processes: Translate net demand into production volumes per GMID (across all nodes) for budget & strat plan elaboration, handover to EM&S finance for P&L translation
Meeting participation
Site Supply Review for virtual sites for CDMOs in scope
coordination of Monthly Net demand Review meeting for his perimeter
Drive monthly inventory review for his perimeter
Participation to GBU GSR monthly cycle where necessary
About You
Basic Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar but will consider all degrees.
Strong in-depth knowledge and expertise in Supply Chain Planning and launch management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with proven track record of building plannings and aligning stakeholders, driving decision-making and optimizing business outcomes.
Ability to understand and manage complex flows with several stakeholders involved. Strong entrepreneurial thinking and negotiating to achieve best plan for Sanofi in highly competitive environment.
Proficiency with an advanced planning system required (i.e. Kinaxis or similar) and an ERP (SAP or similar).
High analytical capabilities and creativity to analyze data, collect insights and build mitigations.
Ability to synthesizes complex information to develop strong recommendations and support decision‑making.
Preferred:
Prior experience working with a CDMOs is preferred.
APICS certification is a plus but not required
Soft skills
Interpersonal skills: ability to engage and collaborate with multiple partners within EM&S functions to gather information and assess feasibility. Change agent: ensure best practice implementation and system adoption / system evolution. Proactivity is a must, given the anticipation component of the position. Be able to work in an international network of CDMOs producing strategic products for Sanofi
