
People Excellence Social Relation Partner ( Human Ressoures )

The role will oversee the development and execution of labor and employee relations strategies within MTL including SSA.
This role ensures compliance with labor laws, manages union relationships, drives negotiation strategies, and fosters a healthy employee relations environment. The incumbent will also serve as a key advisor on labour and employment-related matters, ensuring alignment with P&C strategies.
The role will report to the MTL PE Lead and form part of the MTL People Excellence leadership team and collaborate with the regional & global CoE as required.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develops and implements a Labor Relations strategy aligned with Sanofi’s Global guidelines on P&C, Compensation & Benefits, HSE, Outsourcing, Compliance & Disciplinary matters, considering market specific legal requirements and complexity and ensuring the right level of influence and coordination amongst several stakeholders.
-Ensures timely and compliant handling of Disciplinary Actions, according to the Global Policy and local requirements. Leads Disciplinary Committee’s and initiatives granting training for managers, employees and P&C and supports capability within the People Excellence team.
-Develops, implements and mentors on Labor Relations strategy, preparation and negotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements within pre-aligned parameters and according to business impact and needs.
-Builds and maintain relationships with labor unions and other worker representation bodies.
-Builds an external professional network to maintain an appropriate view of the workplace and market practices, along with a constant screening and strategic analyses on laws modification in the markets in scope.
-Engages in Ad Hoc Labor Relations / Employment Relations advisory for major workforce events (Divestitures, Restructuring, etc.).
-Actively participates in design of policies impacting employees, third party contractors and / or Labor Union Representatives. Ensure workplace policies are current and in compliance with applicable local laws, looking towards a Glocal approach.
-Ensures general compliance with labor and employment legislation keeping current on countries employment and labor practices and supports proactive adaptation of policies.
-Provides expert guidance on employment litigation and partners with legal external counsel as needed. Acts as legal representative for employment matters and subscription of legal documents.
-Works together with People Services ensuring implemented process for payroll, migration matters, on-boarding, offboarding and in general employment document templates are updated according to local legislation.
-Provide technical backstop support to country People Excellence Lead on labour legislation matters.
LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY:
-Manages a high level of influence amongst the Function’s stakeholders with the capability of providing accurate advisory with managerial overview of risk assessment.
-Partners with business leaders and external stakeholders to foster a positive Labor and Employee Relations atmosphere.
-Partakes in workforce planning initiatives and plays a key role in organizational change management.
-Complies with and carry out standards for maintaining a confidential and sensitive work environment.
-Collaborates with country People Excellence team to ensure aligned people strategy execution.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
-Minimum-Bachelor’s degree in labour law.
-Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in employment law.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
-Fluent in French & English.
-Proven partnering skills across different layers of the organisation and strong solutions orientation for business support.
-Proven ability to collaborate and influence across matrix lines.
About you:
Education/Experience/Certification:
Medical Scientific Background: Preferably MD or equivalent medical degree, PhD or PharmD
Industry experience (including medical affairs field or office) and/or clinical experience.
Good understanding of the continuum of data generation including clinical development, Real World Evidence (RWE) and data gaps analysis
Ability to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areas
Excellent communication skills including driving challenging discussions· Develop a good understanding of HCP communication preferences to adapt communication style and optimize use of relevant channels to suit
Implement true scientific engagement journeys by bridging channel disconnect to drive ongoing engagement and grow collaborative opportunities and meaningful scientific exchange
Be confident in the use of Omnichannel tools and ability to adapt to new channels
Effectively and compliantly share unmet needs of HCPs and their centers with cross-functional teams to inform patient centric strategy
