Looking to launch your career at the cutting edge of neuroscience research? Join Sanofi's Neurology Therapeutic Area (Neuro TA) team for a hands-on, wet lab-intensive co-op experience focused on Parkinson's disease research. As a Spring Co-op, you will work directly alongside scientists supporting both in vitro and in vivo studies, contributing to real research that advances our understanding of neurodegeneration.

You will be an active contributor to day-to-day laboratory activities, supporting individual and team-level studies under the direct mentorship of your hiring manager. You'll gain exposure to the full drug development process, from target identification and lead optimization through key development milestones.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform mammalian cell culture, including iPSC-derived neuron and glia culture techniques
• Execute standard molecular and biochemical assays including ELISA, MSD (Meso Scale Discovery) immunoassays, immunoprecipitation, Western blot, and RT-qPCR
• Assist with in vivo mouse studies, including animal handling, basic dosing procedures (e.g., intraperitoneal injections), tissue collection, and sample processing
• Follow established protocols with precision and scientific rigor, maintaining meticulous laboratory records and documentation
• Collaborate with team members on both individual and group research projects
• Contribute to experimental design discussions and data documentation in alignment with Sanofi's scientific standards

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a master or PhD degree in biomedical, life sciences or related field with plans to graduate by fall 2028.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.
• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency in mammalian cell culture techniques, including iPSC-derived neuron/glia culture.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in both in vitro and in vivo studies.
• Demonstrated proficiency with standard molecular and biochemical assays such as ELISA, MSD (Meso Scale Discovery) immunoassays, immunoprecipitation, Western blot, and Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR).
• Experience with in vivo mouse handling, basic dosing procedures (eg. intraperitoneal injections), and tissue collection.
• Meticulous record-keeping practices and strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to scientific rigor in experimental design and data documentation.
• Prior experience in a research laboratory setting (academic research, previous co-op positions, and etc).

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $45 -$57 hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
