JOB SUMMARY:

The Team Manager MnS Global Function incl. Global Supply Chain, Global Quality and Industrial Global Support Functions will play a pivotal role in Sanofi's strategic transformation of financial controlling by managing a wide range of senior Stakeholders (Finance BPs & Functional stakeholders) and leading a team of 8 people across the organization.

The incumbent will drive financial excellence for these Functions, with hands-on expertise to guarantee the delivery and the quality of the Financial Statements on the closing, analysis and forecasting for ~0.5 to 1 Bn€ budget, of which above 50% is non-personnel Costs. It is part of the strategy to increase seniority, as it adds the Stakeholder management role, on top of the leadership on controlling operational supervision.

As a key player in our transformation journey, the Team Manager will:

  • Elevate controlling operations by implementing innovative approaches to financial management
  • Spearhead the adoption of AI in project controlling practices
  • Build and maintain critical partnerships with Global FBPs and FP&As in MnS and in-country operational teams
  • Drive the harmonization and standardization of processes across geographies
  • Lead financial cycles like Closing Forecasting and Budgeting by increasing quality and accuracy
  • Ensure rigorous financial compliance, including SOX controls

This position offers a unique opportunity to directly impact Sanofi's financial strategy and decision making while leading team in a rapidly evolving, purpose-driven healthcare environment. The incumbent will be instrumental in shaping the future of our MnS Global Function controlling, aligning with Sanofi's mission to chase the miracles of science for the benefit of people's health worldwide.

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Control and Management
    • Lead financial controlling activities for ~0.5 to 1 Bn€ budget for Global Supply Chain and Industrial Global Support Functions
    • Manage specific functions specificities (e.g. Audits support, Expat costs, Hub ramp-up/ramp-down for Global Supply Chain and Industrial Global Support Functions projects, MDM changes and perimeter changes, projects tracking)
    • Ensure accurate financial planning, tracking, and reporting for scope of responsibility
    • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision making
    • Ensure harmonization and standardization of ways of working across geographies
    • Supporting the teams to achieve customer-focused objectives and contribute to the strategic enhancement of the core model, user experience, and process excellence.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and develop a team of ~8 specialized Senior controllers in Budapest Hub to support Global Supply Chain and Industrial Global Support Functions across Budapest, Bogota and Kuala Lumpur hubs.
    • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality controlling services
    • Establish clear objectives, expectations, and performance metrics aligned with broader organizational goals
    • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes excellence and continuous improvement
    • Build function capabilities and expertise within the team
    • Build and enhance project controlling capabilities within the team
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as key financial partner to Finance, Internal Control & Procedures, Global Supply Chain and Industrial Global Support Functions leadership teams (Global FBPs & FP&A)
    • Build strong relationships with hub leaders and in-country operational teams
    • Ensure alignment with global finance strategies
    • Communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial partners
  • Process Excellence
    • Ensure adherence to core mode
    • Drive efficiency improvements in financial operations
    • Implement and maintain quality standards across all deliverables
    • Monitor and report on team performance metrics
    • Play a key role in the transformation of project controlling practices (AI adoption)
    • Implement specific expertise across the team
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Oversee financial compliance for SOX and Non-SOX controls
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks
    • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
    • Support audit requirements and regulatory compliance

About you

Experience:

    • 3-6 years of experience in a Finance related position with increasing responsibility
    • Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with at least 2 years in manufacturing/supply chain finance or similar complex operational environment
    • Strong understanding of MnS processes
    • Transformation experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or CPA
  • Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience
  • Proven experience in managing E2E processes related to HC and personnel costs.
  • TM1 and SAP experience
