SUMMARY:

The Global Program Manager Diversity & Inclusion in Clinical Trials (PM DICT) is a strategic and functional global role. This role is responsible for coordinating and implementing strategies to improve trial participant diversity across all regions and across all Therapeutic Areas. Reporting to the Global Head of DICT, she/he will be a critical part of the DICT core team and working closely with the DICT Country/Region Leads, the DICT Global Operations and Community Partnerships (GOCP) Lead and will be responsible for translating the global strategies into best practices. The PM DICT will also lead the harmonization and standardization of DICT activities across different regions and functions while understanding and addressing the local priorities. The PM DICT will be responsible for the delivery of the DICT Project Management Office (PMO) and supporting the DICT Country/Region Leads in executing on DICT strategies and targets. The PM-DICT will work closely with the DICT GOCP Lead to translate global strategies into best practices using AI-powered solutions and data-driven insights and ensure coordination across regions on operational excellence, training needs and opportunities and best practice sharing across teams and regions. This role will be instrumental in identifying external partnerships (vendors, patient groups, HCP groups) to ensure diversity of clinical trial participants. The PM DICT will track and inventory partnership opportunities to measure ROI and identify opportunities to improve diversity in Sanofi’s clinical trials.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain the budget for global/local DICT activities.
  • Support the development of AI-powered solutions to streamline DICT processes, automate routine tasks, and enhance operational efficiency across global teams
  • Leverage digital tools and automation to improve workflow management, reduce manual effort, and accelerate program delivery.
  • Ensure delivery of and maintenance of DICT Project Management Office (PMO) 
  • Support strategy development and execution using analytics, dashboards, and predictive modeling to inform DICT priorities and measure impact
  • Utilize data systems to track diversity metrics, identify trends, and optimize trial enrollment strategies
  • Function as the key interface between Global Head of DICT, sponsors, steering committee and business partners.
  • Create a streamlined process for best practice sharing across regions and countries with differing definitions, needs and strategies for DICT.
  • Provide strategic and operational support to DICT Country and Region Leads and independently lead cross-regional projects and programs

THE PM DICT SHOULD HAVE:

  • Intermediate Problem-Solving Skills: Conducts root cause analysis using data and evidence; researches facts and information to better understand problems and develop solutions.
  • Intermediate Change Management Skills: Develops change plan, implements them and measures progress.
  • Intermediate Digital Transformation Skills: Ability to identify opportunities for process automation, implement digital solutions, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and program outcomes.
  • Advanced Project Management Skills: Manages quality, time, cost and resources when planning and executing projects. Applies continuous improvement methodology/tools. Optimal: Certification level of Project Management (PMP/PMI).
  • Intermediate Risk Management Skills: Proactively measure & assess/map risk triggers (Risks-Probability-Impact): Threats & Opportunities.
  • Intermediate Clinical Development Process Knowledge: Understands type of trial designs and strategies such as basket trial, proof of concept study, different cohorts. Including RWD and RWE.
  • Intermediate Business Acumen (Business Sense): Clinical Operations Overview - understands how all functions/departments work transversally; can see the big picture to break down silos and analyze impact on operations.
  • Intermediate Interpersonal & Relationship Management: Direct, empathetic, earnest and productive in the way they communicate - familiar with DEEP conversation.
  • Intermediate Emotional Intelligence/ATL (Play2Win) behaviors: Understands that emotional intelligence is a more reliable predictor of success than intellect.
  • Foundational Medical/Scientific Background -TA / Disease knowledge: Knows which therapeutics areas R&D is currently exploring.
  • Foundational Develop People & Lead Teams: Understands the day-to-day and tasks required to manage people. Is regularly able to demonstrate 3 of the essential qualities of People Management. For example, regularly developing SMART performance objectives with the team, and having conversations to understand why objectives, or performance requirements, are not being met.
  • Science, business, or project management background
  • BS/MS/PhD/Equivalent
  • PMP certification, not required but a plus
  • Successful experience of transverse and international project management.
  • 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or complex matrix organization.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing is mandatory.
