This is a strategic leadership opportunity at the forefront of Sanofi’s Rare Disease journey in Eurasia.

Eurasia, comprising Turkey, Russia, and the Levant, is a region of scale, complexity, and untapped potential:

  • Nearly €200M in sales, representing approx. 1/5th of region revenue

  • 2nd largest region globally within the Rare Disease franchise

  • ~500 million people with elevated rare disease prevalence, offering significant unmet medical need

  • A diverse and dynamic healthcare landscape, requiring both strategic insight and local agility

This role is for a visionary leader who wants to make a lasting impact — not just on brands, but on patients, teams, and the future of Rare Disease in Eurasia.

Strategic context:

  • The RD Franchise Head concentrates all marketing MCO-strategic activities for RD products and new launches covered by their respective Brand / Launch Leads expected to support MCO.  

Key Dimensions:

  • This role will be leading the RD Brand Teams for Eurasia MCO.  

  • Strategically important with high expectations on growth including new launches. 

  • The RD Head is a member of the MCO Leadership team.  

Main responsibilities:

The RD Franchise Head holds the end-to-end accountability for management and performance of the MCO teams and activities for RD products within the assigned geography. S/he is accountable for RD MCO resource allocation within a defined envelop and the customer engagement plans with the mandate to accelerate efficient growth for innovative products as per global franchise guidance.  

  • Ensure implementation and effective execution of franchise strategic plan for RD portfolio

  • Develop and implement an RD business plan to maximize business operating income, ensuring availability of products in the market, in compliance with the highest international standards and norms. 

  • Enhance RD Franchise through ecosystem shaping and strategic priority initiatives.

  • Orchestrate and mobilize key internal and external stakeholders to transform ways of working and drive enterprise-wide impact.

  • Responsible for all marketing activities for the RD portfolio.

  • Global to Local:  

Leading the adaptation of content strategy to the market: co-develop with Global (if in Global Brand Team) and lead localization and execution of the Integrated Growth Plan (IGP) including adaptation of content strategy to the market and local customer journey activation 

Leading the implementation of customer engagement strategy to tactics by identifying local customers’ preferences and activation journeys for each customer segment to ensure a personalized engagement to drive BOI and best in class customer experience  

  • Local to Global:

Business case development: leveraging sophisticated data and analytical capabilities to identify and prioritize the most attractive growth and BOI opportunities at country level  

Pricing proposal (to be approved globally); 

Local markets business insights and levers understanding to co-develop and execute IGP. 

  • Coach direct reports, leveraging their strengths and consolidating a high-performance environment 

  • Implement or strengthen new ways of work for the RD Franchise activities and in connection with other functions, driving business operating model transformation (Go-to-Market, culture; Digital and Agile, Omnichannel):  

  • Drive growth through customer centricity  

  • Empower teams to decide and act  

  • Organize teams with an agile mindset  

  • Compliance: Respects corporate commitment and compliance guidelines.  

About you 

Technical skills

  • In-depth understanding of the market, competition, future market trends​ and entire local healthcare ecosystem 

  • Brand management & project management capabilities 

  • Building launch strategy

  • Understanding of Sales and Marketing operating model, Go To Market (GTM) transformation 

  • Innovation and expertise in Digital engagement and Customer marketing  

  • Strong analytical capabilities: P&L management, Scenario Planning and financial acumen to drive BOI  

  • Ability to take data-driven decisions based on customer needs

  • Glocal mindset: able to understand and contribute to the global framework combined with local execution 

  • Capacity to challenge the status quo to enhance efficiency with an entrepreneurial mindset respecting global approaches.

Critical experiences required to be successful in the role (detailed) 

  • Solid educational and professional background  

  • Minimum 10 years of proven successful management/marketing experience. A P&L experience is a plus 

  • Experience with Customer Marketing, activation strategy & innovative campaigns 

  • Exposure to international environment with track record of performance in Marketing and Sales with deep knowledge and understanding of finance and Market Access  

  • Experience with contributing to Global Brand planning processes and local implementation 

  • Digital Experience with Customer-facing approach and new GTM tactics. 

  • Negotiation skills notably with existing external partnerships/ Alliances:  where relevant.

  • Fluency in English & Turkish is a must.
