The Media Designer will be part of the Learning Design & Development team, a group dedicated to creating impactful, scientifically accurate, and engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences across the organization. This team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders. Together, we combine expertise in instructional design, content writing, and visual media to deliver high-quality training programs that simplify complex scientific concepts and drive knowledge retention. The team values creativity, collaboration, and a strong commitment to applying learning principles to meet business and learner needs effectively. Overall, Purpose: The Senior Learning Media Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality, visually compelling designs from concept to completion within agreed timelines and brand guidelines. This role combines expertise in graphic design with UI/UX principles to create intuitive, engaging, and learner-centric digital experiences.
Main responsibilities:
Build and maintain effective relationships with the global stakeholders to ensure learning and communication materials meet user and business requirements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers and developers, to align design solutions with learning objectives and user experience goals.
Design and deliver business-critical visual assets such as interactive pdfs, slide decks, infographics, image redraws, and videos, adhering to brand and compliance guidelines. Extend support for digital and interactive deliverables, including newsletters, annual reports, e-mailers, patient education materials, video animations, and UI components for learning platforms. Apply UI/UX principles to create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive layouts that enhance usability and learner engagement across web and mobile platforms.
Collaborate with designers and writers to understand project-specific requirements and deliver high-quality outputs on time. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other designers, ensuring consistency and innovation in design practices. Proactively communicate project timelines, input issues, and design challenges to the Development Lead.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and deadlines. Design and maintain templates (PowerPoint, InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) aligned with brand guidelines.
Share best practices, new design trends, and UI/UX insights with the team; actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement. Upskill continuously in emerging design tools, UI/UX methodologies, and technologies relevant to digital learning. Demonstrate flexibility to meet dynamic project demands and ensure timely delivery.
About you:
Experience: 6 to 10 of experience in video creation, and new media Desirable experience in pharmaceuticals / healthcare industry and scientific context mediation.
Soft skills: Stakeholder management; communication skills; and ability to work independently and within a team environment
Technical skills: Design Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects. UI/UX Tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure RP. Prototyping & Wireframing: Figma, Adobe XD, Balsamiq. Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for design handoff and responsive layouts. Must have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe Audition. Experience in working with Articulate 360. Ability to translate complex information to simple infographic/Video or other allied easy ways to communicate visually.
Ability to think creatively, aesthetically, independently and having good knowledge on all the graphic and current design trends Experience / knowledge following brand guidelines while working on deliverables and preparing templates. Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage completing work activities.
Education: Graduate or postgraduate in any stream. Primarily in graphic design or art with focus on visualization of scientific content.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written).
