About the Job

The Senior Director, Channel Launch & Execution sits within Market Access is a senior leadership role responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution of trade and distribution channel readiness for all pipeline product launches across Sanofi’s U.S. portfolio—including Specialty Care, General Medicines, and Established Products. This position ensures that innovative therapies are brought to market with best-in-class distribution strategies that maximize patient access, compliance, and commercial success. 

This highly visible role will lead cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external channel partners to shape launch readiness from early commercialization through execution. The Senior Director will serve as a key strategic advisor to executive leadership and ensure that trade and channel strategies are aligned with broader U.S. Market Access objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

New Product Planning and Commercialization, engaging early in the product lifecycle to shape optimal access strategies and ensure operational readiness from Phase III through launch and beyond. The Senior Director will architect and deliver best-in-class trade and distribution models that accelerate access, drive conversion, support adherence, and minimize gross-to-net impacts.

Strategic Leadership & Commercialization Planning

  • Lead enterprise-wide strategy for trade and distribution launch readiness across all therapeutic areas.

  • Partner with New Product Planning, Commercial, and Global Market Access teams to influence asset strategy during early-stage development.

  • Design innovative, product-specific channel models that align clinical value, supply performance, and commercial goals.

  • Anticipate future market needs, policy shifts, and channel dynamics to proactively evolve Sanofi’s distribution strategy.

Launch Execution & Channel Strategy

  • Own end-to-end U.S. trade and distribution launch execution for all pipeline assets.

  • Develop and implement tailored distribution strategies (e.g., SP, DTP, hybrid, limited networks) based on therapeutic area, logistics, and access needs.

  • Ensure seamless cross-functional alignment with Brand, Market Access, Supply Chain, Patient Support Services (PSS), and Medical Affairs for launch delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Serve as the primary trade and distribution lead in Go-To-Market, Commercialization, and Launch Excellence forums.

  • Align internal stakeholders (Legal, Brand, Value & Access, Marketing, Patient Services, Regulatory, Finance, Pricing, Compliance, Data & Analytics) on launch timelines and channel deliverables.

  • Support gross-to-net modeling, affordability solutions, and value story development through deep channel and reimbursement expertise.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical experience with a focus on U.S. product launches, launch excellence, trade and distribution, market access, or commercialization strategy.

  • Proven track record in leading trade launch readiness and channel execution across both specialty and traditional product categories.

  • Expertise in U.S. channel & distribution models and pharmacy channel economics.

  • Understanding of downstream customers; wholesalers, distributors, pharmacies

  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and cross-functional leadership experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with strategic channel partners and support launches.
