Join our Digital Team as Database Engineering Specialist and you can help make it happen. Our mission is to build and operationalize data foundation platforms necessary for the enterprise data and analytics and insights initiatives, following industry standard practices and tools.  These new data platforms as part of OneMesh are built on Snowflake, AWS, Informatica Cloud, dbt, Airflow capabilities and support core business processes and analytics for all Global Business Units and Global Functions (GBU/GF) including Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and others function-specific processes. Your job? You will look after the Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow software platform health, usage, support, performance & cost, know about new releases, features, training and marketing, showcase innovation, etc.  In this role the candidate will move from a service mindset into a product management approach.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for technical design, administration, security and evolution of Snowflake, dbt and Airflow platform and services
  • Manage end to end deliverables leveraging external consultants and do the project management
  • Monitor project plans, provide overall coordination and report status on regular basis to the steering committee
  • Develop work plans to manage key aspects of the technical solutions including documentation of specifications
  • Support the integration of supplier/ vendor and track vendor deliverables
  • Ensure that the technical solution is completed on schedule, on budget and in scope
  • Lead the solution architecture from an end-to-end perspective along with Enterprise Architect
  • Create Architecture Decision Record (ADR) for product solutions related to orchestration
  • Work on detail design workshops with key stakeholders

• Coordinate with partners, infrastructure teams, project teams, products owners, scrum masters and vendors (Snowflake, dbt Labs, Amazon AWS) to address solution architecture design and delivery considerations
  • Work with internal and external team members to lead system integration planning, data sources integration and solution for key analytical projects.
  • Evaluate, recommend, deploy and manage strategic application technology standards enabling the organization to maintain a technological and competitive edge
  • Be responsible for transfer of knowledge to the support teams
  • Become the platform lead and SME PoC for orchestration Airflow

• Responsible for delivery of solutions using Agile methodology from detailed planning through execution, deployment and transfer of support services.  Enabling the capabilities of the OneMesh Snowflake, orchestration Airflow (MMWA) and dbt platform and service solutions.
  • Enable new analytics database capabilities as part of the Snowflake COE
  • Contribute to the Snowflake, Airflow and dbt platform best practices in support of digital projects  
  • Promote best practices on Airflow, dbt, Snowflake and data sharing to Digital project teams 
  • Develop and refine platform reporting solutions to optimize the running costs
  • Must work with business team to understand requirements, and translate them into technical needs

• Ensure to maintain high standards, compliancy, and operational excellence in support of the Snowflake, dbt and Airflow platforms and services
  • Enforce compliance requirements of the solution in regards of GxP regulation
  • Remains up to date on company’s standards, industry practices and emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions
  • Support operations with the appropriate mindset-oriented Operation Excellence
  • Insure level 3 support of the data platforms in operation
  • Be responsible for components of progress communications and schedule, resource, finance, quality, scope and change management as they relate to technical solutions

About you

• Experience: 5+ years experience in a data team as Data Engineer or data warehouse DBA, AWS, Azure cloud services, other RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, working with data models, ETL/ELT, query tuning.
• Soft skills: Experience working with a variety of cross-functional teams, good understanding of agile/scrum development processes and concepts, able to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities, pragmatic and capable of solving complex issues,   service-oriented, flexible team player, attention to detail & technical intuition, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills for executive level communication and collaboration
• Technical skills: Strong experience in deployment of cloud databases, hosting platforms, storage and migration services such as AWS SCT and DMS, excellent conceptual understanding of structured databases, modelling, and data ingestion, experience with Snowflake platform is a must have (account, security, provisioning, cost, data sharing and stream implementation), good knowledge of Azure AD, ServiceNow, experiences with orchestration tools like Airflow, strong experience in deployment of cloud databases, hosting platforms, storage and migration services such as AWS SCT and DMS, strong experience in automation tools and methodologies specifically using Gitlab, Github action, Terraform, Ansible
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
• Languages: Excellent English communication and writing
