The aimed modernization of Sanofi will allow us to focus on our priorities across our products, market and pipeline through the reallocation of resources and realizing the efficiencies of removing silos that exist between our business units, avoiding the duplication and overlapping of resources, standardizing our processes and tools, operating with a One Sanofi approach to accelerate our key capabilities development, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit by speeding up the decision making.
GTMC organization aims for:
Centralization of Go-to-Market excellence and operational tasks across GBUs
Standardizing best in class capabilities with strengthened global support while verticalization of reporting within GTMC from local to global
Defining clear ways of working and bringing clarity on interfaces with GBUs, Digital, and executional support on commercial operations from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency
The Global Lead - Competitive Intelligence (CI) supports the CI vision and strategy, in alignment with stakeholder priorities. This role works closely with disease area matrix teams (including leaders and teams in Commercial, R&D, Medical, & Market Access) to provide strategic support. They will identify, analyze, and distribute timely & relevant competitive intelligence and actionable insights that inform the near and long-term Global Pharma (GenMed and Speciality Care) franchise strategies.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to
Evaluate competitor R&D, medical and commercial activities to help inform strategic decision making related to internal brand strategy and planning
Legally and ethically gather competitive information and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations for key stakeholders
Develop and deliver reports/communications that provide competitive insights and analysis of trends, issues, and opportunities
Closely collaborate with other global, regional, and/or local functions (e.g., marketing, medical, market access, R&D, regulatory, legal, investor relations, NPP) to pressure test key assumptions and drive alignment
Implements all elements of internal CI model based on consultative engagement with key stakeholders, leading internal intelligence networks, coordinating the communication of intelligence, managing external CI vendors/partners, and leveraging relevant internal IT tools and platforms
Manage external vendor(s) to proactively maintain appropriate levels of market intelligence coverage
Support Congress CI efforts and provide key competitive insights before, during and post congress
Respond to ad hoc key business questions with expert analysis
Rigorously apply the Company's standards of ethics and policies for intelligence gathering
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred
Skills and Competencies
7+ years of relevant experience in biopharma industry (industry side or consulting)
High degree of analytical horsepower
Experience with a Vaccine’s focus strongly preferred
Experience with vendor-side CI firm and/or consulting firm strongly preferred
Product launch experience strongly preferred
Experience in adjacent functions (NPP, marketing, value & access) a plus
Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balance competing priorities, and ensure high quality
Soft skills

Effectively and confidently communicate to various audiences, including senior leadership
Synthesize complex ideas to simple
Focused on implications and pull through into brand implications (not just a summary of the “what”)
Strong learning agility and high degree of curiosity
